I have a habit of taking things apart.

Sometimes to fix them.
Sometimes to understand them.
Occasionally both.

Over the years that habit led me through electronics repair, automotive diagnostics, prototyping, 3D design and a surprising number of projects that probably should have been left alone.

I enjoy troubleshooting more than replacing parts and understanding systems more than memorizing solutions.

Most projects documented here started with a problem, a theory and a willingness to spend far too much time figuring out what was actually going on.
